Which SAP GTS alternative should you pick?
Stay on GTS if you run SAP; otherwise pick by ERP.
If you run on SAP, SAP GTS is usually the right home for trade compliance, because screening and customs management live inside SAP. The alternatives make sense when you don’t run SAP, or run several ERPs. Oracle shops use Oracle GTM. Across several ERPs, ONESOURCE Global Trade and e2open both bring maintained content and party screening. If the gap you feel in GTS is the classification decision itself, GingerOS decides each U.S. code with its reason and hands it to GTS; it doesn’t replace screening or customs.
How is SAP GTS priced?
SAP doesn’t publish a price for GTS; it is licensed with SAP and quoted by SAP.
| Vendor | Published price | How it is sold |
|---|---|---|
| SAP GTS | No | Licensed with SAP and quoted by SAP |
| Oracle GTM | No | A cloud service contract, quoted by Oracle |
| ONESOURCE Global Trade | No | Quoted; content and platform contracts over several years |
| e2open | No | Enterprise contract, quoted per deal |
| GingerControl | GingerLite app only | $150 a month for 300 credits, with top-ups; GingerOS is quoted per project after the Prototype Week |

Questions about SAP GTS alternatives
What are the alternatives to SAP GTS?
Oracle GTM for Oracle shops, and ONESOURCE Global Trade or e2open for companies running several ERPs. Descartes covers tariff data and party screening. GingerControl isn’t a full alternative: it decides U.S. codes and keeps the reason, next to any of them.
Should an SAP customer use something other than SAP GTS?
Usually not. GTS keeps party screening and customs management inside SAP, where a failed screening check blocks the transaction. An SAP customer looks elsewhere mainly for a specific gap, such as the reasoning behind U.S. classification.
How much does SAP GTS cost?
SAP doesn’t publish a price for GTS. It is licensed with SAP and quoted by SAP, and the other trade suites are quoted per deal too.
Does GingerControl connect to SAP?
Yes, through a read-only connection built in your project. There is no off-the-shelf SAP connector; we connect to the fields your process needs.
Can GingerControl replace SAP GTS?
No. GingerControl doesn’t screen parties, manage customs or run bonded warehouses. It decides each U.S. code with GRI reasoning, keeps the reason and the CBP rulings, and rechecks the code when a part or supplier changes.
