Free Trade Compliance Tools
These are free, ungated calculators for U.S. importers and brokers. Each tool implements a published government formula — the CBP bond-sizing rules, the ITA's foreign-trade-zone savings worksheet — and cites its primary source on the page, so you can check our math against the regulation it ports. We build trade compliance software, not bonds or brokerage, so the numbers are neutral: no quote upsell, no email gate, and honest caveats where a formula's age or a 2026 policy change limits what it can tell you.
Calculators
Customs Bond Calculator
Size a continuous import bond the way CBP does — 10% of your last 12 months of duties, taxes, and fees against the $50,000 minimum, with CBP's rounding tiers — plus single-transaction bond math. Built for the 2026 tariff surge, when CBP re-checks sufficiency monthly.
Ports 19 CFR Part 113 and CBP's bond sufficiency guidance
FTZ Duty Savings Estimator
Estimate annual duty savings from foreign-trade-zone production across inverted tariff, scrap, deferral, and export benefits — verified cell-by-cell against the government workbook, with the 2026 caveats the original predates.
Ports the ITA Duty Savings Estimator (trade.gov)

Why we publish these free
GingerControl builds AI software for trade compliance — HTS classification, tariff monitoring, and duty recovery. We are not a customs broker or surety, so unlike most free calculators in this space, these tools have nothing to sell you at the end of the math: no bond quote, no filing engagement. Every formula is ported from the named government source and re-verified before we stamp it, the same accuracy bar we apply to our reference guides. If a calculation matters to a live entry, confirm it with your broker — and if you want the monitoring these one-shot tools can't do, that's what our products are for.
